I'm not going to hold my breath, but most DVDs released with the singles by Avex have had the "making of"

God bless Space Halo! 'Cause without them I'd be in the dark. I'd just about given up on Olivia's official site being updated, but when you least expect it something good happens.

In this particular instance it's pretty big news. Olivia will be playing the part of Leila in the ending theme for the new Nana anime while Anna Tsuchiya (best known for Kamikaze Girls aka Shimotsuma Monogatari in the USA) plays Nana Osaki in the opening theme.

In case you're unaware, this is a BIG deal. Nana/Ai Yazawa is currently a juggernaut in manga/anime/fashion in Japan, and is one of the most eagerly anticipated series in the US. Can you say, exposure?

A sale date for the single, 「a little pain / OLIVIA inspi' REIRA (TRAPNEST)」, hasn't been announced but should follow the premiere of the anime on April 5th. Definitely keep an eye on her official site, and check Amazon Japan from time to time.

Dollmakers are a dangerous thing for someone with time on their hands. I'm not sure what put the idea into my head, but I was playing with my most favorite Dollmaker, Elouai's Candybar Dollmaker when the idea hit me to try and make an Olivia doll. The result was this:

The first two were my attempts at recreating her look in the April 2004 issue of Kera. You can see the original picture here. The third is sporting a ready-made outfit I found on a French dollmaker site. I'm convinced the owner is an Olivia fan. Hee.

Just reiterating Olivia's Avex profile since there's very little else to report, but I felt I was overdue for an update.

Parlez-vous français ? Then you probably already know about this site. Most of the scans are older, but they're some of the largest HQ ones I've seen so far. If you'd like to add to your Olivia picture stash definitely check it out.

If you live in Japan, you've got a much better chance than I do of seeing Olivia live this weekend. On November 13th she performs The Lost Lolli Live #3, and dammit, I'm going to light candles, pray to multiple gods, and make blood sacrifices so that we at least get a bootleg out of this thing. (Okay, for those of you out there with no sense of humor: I'm kidding.) For those of us nowhere near Shibuya, keep an eye on this thread at OLO.
